Bloating is inevitable, it happens to everyone – just like weight gain after 40.
Is that really true..?
And how depressing would that be?

➯ You can lose the stubborn weight.
You can, as my high schoolers now say, “do the damn thing.”
You just have to know the right techniques to integrate into your daily routines and decide for yourself that you want to thrive – because you DESERVE it.
Hang with me and I’ll show you how to:
⮞ Understand the signs your body may be sending you that it desperately needs a reset
⮞ Listen to your body and understand how to incorporate healthy techniques into your lifestyle
⮞ Greatly reduce bloating, eliminate inflammation, and lose the stubborn weight
Warning Signs Your Body May Be Sending You
There are four main signs your body may be sending you that you need a reset, known as a detox.
A detox is a “natural flush of toxins” and your body is 100 percent capable of doing this on its own, as long as we provide the proper resources and conditions (more on that later).
These four signs are:
- Bloating (you may have guessed that based on the context of this article)
- Feeling tired
- Craving sugar
- Poor skin health
So, by experiencing even just one of these factors, your body is communicating with you – and it’s important we listen so we can identify the problem, solve the issue, and thrive!
Getting to the Root of the Problem to Reduce Bloating
At the core of the problem is your own core – i.e. your gut!
Yeah, that “thing” we’re all told to listen to… but in fact, your gut – the part of the digestive tract containing the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine – contains beneficial bacterial strains that regulate:
➯ Healthy Digestion
➯ Weight management (and weight loss)
➯ Skin Health
➯ Nutrient Absorption
➯ Heart Health and Cholesterol Levels
➯ Brain Clarity and Mental Health
➯ Hunger and Appetite
➯ Bloating and Inflammation
➯ Chronic Illnesses
So, if our gut is unhealthy – meaning the “bad” bacteria have taken control – we often struggle from bloating, inflammation, weight gain, and negative side effects associated with all the bulleted points above.
And this “bad” bacteria in our systems are being caused by the malnourishment of the modern western diet due to the increase in:
⮞ Artificial preservatives
Our foods have been intercepted, so instead of being farm fresh and arriving on our plates they now pass through a manufacturing system
– where the food industry works to sell it as a product as opposed to wholesome, natural ingredients.
And our bodies can only tolerate so much of this – especially being that the bad bacteria are found in these “products” whereas good bacteria are found in our healthy foods.
Our gut health is formed by three main factors over a duration of time:
- Our Diet
- Nutrient Absorption
- Stress on the Body
Detoxing - Your First Step to Reduce Bloating and Lose Weight
Our bodies have accumulated a slew of bad bacteria and we need to evict these inflammatory causing toxins out of our bodies.
Detoxing is nothing more than a “natural flush” and something your body is 100 percent capable of doing on its own as long as it is provided with the right conditions.
By kicking these toxins out of your system, you then make room for your body to restore itself with the good bacteria – helping you to thrive by reaping all the benefits of good gut health!
As a recap, the gut controls:
- Healthy Digestion
- Weight management (and weight loss)
- Skin Health
- Nutrient Absorption
- Heart Health and Cholesterol Levels
- Brain Clarity and Mental Health
- Hunger and Appetite
- Bloating and Inflammation
- Chronic Illnesses
So when we give the bad bacteria the boot, we are then able to reap countless benefits in each of the bulleted categories – including reduced bloating, inflammation, and weight gain.

Beat the Bloat: 3 Steps to Restoring Your Digestive Health
So, here’s the truth – there are three simple means after detoxing that you’ll need to focus on to reduce bloating for good.
Sure, you can incorporate various tips (like don’t drink through a straw because it adds too much air to your stomach) to reduce bloating, but what I’m talking about is eliminating the problem for good.
Because you do NOT have to live with chronic bloating, inflammation, and unweighted weight gain.
And by focusing on these next three factors that I’ll discuss; you can restore your digestive health and say goodbye to your bellowed belly.
1. Consume Wholesome, Anti-inflammatory Ingredients
Since the bad bacteria is found in unhealthy foods, you’ve probably guessed that your diet needs to focus on the foods that provide the good bacteria.
This means eating fresh ingredients (lean meats, fresh produce, healthy fats, and lots of low starch vegetables). And designing your meals around these simple but still unprocessed ingredients.
Anti-inflammatory means that the foods will actually work to heal your body, as opposed to just “not hurting it.”
These foods have properties that ease digestion, speed up the metabolism, contain beneficial bacterial strains, and even reduce fat storage.
When we eat foods designed to nourish our bodies, we are properly focusing on the main function of foods.
Simply put, food = energy.
So when we eat foods that are designed to heal and nurture our bodies, we then use food efficiently, and our body responds by using these foods as direct energy – as opposed to becoming fat storage.
2. Maximize Nutrient Absorption
We’ve detected that bloating is a direct sign of poor gut health – and if you recall, the gut consists of the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine.
The small intestine region of the gut is solely responsible for absorbing vitamins, minerals, and nutrients; however, when our gut is unhealthy, we are unable to properly do this.
This means that even though you could be eating healthy foods, your body is not able to uptake the nutrients, and therefore, your energy levels will remain low.
So what’s a great life hack is to incorporate superfood powders into your daily routine.
The key is in the powder.
These powders are composed of foods that are rich in anti-oxidants and countless health benefits, but the most important thing is this – since they’re a powder, they absorb directly into your blood stream and do not even have to wait to be processed through the digestive tract.
If you’re interested, I personally love and adore Your Super.
I’ve found it’s the most bang for my buck, and trust me, I’m never one to throw money at supplements.
I did that for too many years trying to find solutions that ACTUALLY work.
But Your Super is the easiest way for me to maximize my energy levels, and it’s no secret how well their products really work.
3. Reduce Stress on the Body
When a little kid says, “my tummy hurts” it’s actually a sign for anxiety.
While they are too young to directly connect how they emotionally feel with how they physically feel, they are not too young to feel the repercussions of stress on the body.
Stress is incredibly toxic because of the damage it creates on our gut health.
Our gut regulates many of the body’s hormones, so the stress hormone – cortisol – becomes overproduced and our body suffers from the adrenaline rush of fight or flight response.
Stress can be either mental, physical, or emotional – all collectively working together to encourage the flourishment of bad bacteria throughout our digestive tract, robbing us of our energy levels, and tanking our gut health.
So, do yourself a favor – don’t go stressing about your stress level, but provide some self-care each day.
This can be taking a ten-minute time to meditate, do a short yoga sequence, practice breathing, go for a walk, etc.
I always say – don’t twist yourself into a pretzel if it’s not going to bring you zen. Or do if it does.
Essentially, find something that works to relieve YOU. Your body will feel more rejuvenated and thank you for it later.
You CAN reduce reduce bloating and inflammation, lose weight, and thrive! Simply detox your body and restore digestive health.
You’re already beautiful – now you’re just becoming the healthiest and happiest version of yourself! And you should be proud of that! ❤
